PPI Claims For Mortgages
During December 2010 it was confirmed by the FSA that there are more than forty million people who have possible PPI claims for mortgages.
All of these people are eligible to get compensation for the PPI that they were sold. The scary thing for the lenders is that they number of eligible cases is expected to double once other people become aware of what is actually involved in the mortgage that they have been paying. The FSA has entered into an agreement with the various firms who have supplied people with personal protection insurance. Most of the people that are included in the forty thousand took out their policy during 2009, however it is possible that even older policies have been sold with PPI wrongly included.
The FSA And PPI Claims For Mortgages
The FSA released a press release regarding the situation with payment protection insurance and there was really only one disappointing thing that arose from this. The disappointing thing that arose from the press release was that they actually failed to name the companies who had been involved in the mis-selling of this insurance. This lack of information meant that a lot of people were left unsure if they had a case with regards to PPI claims for mortgages.
